Hello there,

Well it is definitely beginning to look a lot like Christmas everywhere you go. I put my tree up last weekend and it looks lovely. By I of course I mean the maid. She was out in that garden for hours digging it out of the ground and then dragging it into the house. There were a few scratches here and there but no real damage to the wood paneling. There will most certainly be a few extra oranges in her stocking this Christmas.

Don’t forget if you’re in the Brisbane area on Saturday night I’ll be giving my all at the Sportmans Hotel – I’ve told them I plan to drink my body weight in vodka… all 63 kgs of it. A girl can dream can’t she?

Also, this weekend is all about Heavens Door (Melbourne) as it goes out with a bang.

One of the hardest working showgirls in Melbourne is the “always up for a good time” Bumpa Love. Bumpa knows how to entertain and is an expert in whipping the crowd into a frenzy every Sunday night at Sircuit. Her latest venture is bringing drag back to the Commercial Hotel on a Saturday night, and she’s not alone. Joining Miss Love is Abril Latrene, Dawn Breaker and Feral Beral to name but a few.

The first show is at 9.30pm so get there early as it’s bound to be a big one.  If you want to buy Bumpa a drink, I believe she drinks anything that comes in a glass.

When it comes to reunions it doesn’t get much bigger than this. I can only just imagine the rider for Penny Clifford and her beautiful showgirls, Decoda Secret, Miss 3D and the unmissable Mary Kiani in not one but two shows. You are going to need to wear your sunglasses as this lot will dazzle your eyeballs. I’m expecting some high quality entertainment.

Doors open at 3.30pm and there’s complimentary champagne for everyone until 4pm. I hope they’ve got a lot of bubbles at the ready as this cast drinks fast. There’s also an afterparty at ARQ and that’s free too if you show them your T-Dance wristband.

Turtle Cove Beach Resort

I moved to Australia for the weather, the beaches and, yes, the men. One of the best places to enjoy all these is the Turtle Cove gay beach resort. Its wonderful staff invite you all along to enjoy Christmas beach style. On December 25 you can pretty much graze all day from 11am-4pm and then again on Boxing day with your lunch around the pool.

They have a Big Aussie BBQ and seafood buffet lined up for Boxing night and the prices are all very reasonable. My idea of heaven would be to book in for a few days and enjoy everything Turtle Cove has to offer. It’s just a short drive from Cairns and well worth the trip.
