Glambert’s Grammy hope

Adam Lambert has opened up to the Holly Reported about his recent Grammy nomination.

The openly gay pop star is in the running for Best Pop Vocal for his 2010 hit Whataya Want From Me – an achievement Glambert believes will remove some of the stigma of his talent show beginnings.

“I hope that at this point, after all the hard work I’ve done over the past year, the nomination will give me credibility as a true vocalist in the industry and perhaps help fade some of the stigma that comes from rising to fame on a competition show,” the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras performer said.

Whataya Want From Me was a top 10 hit around the world – including Australia – and helped push sales of Adam’s debut album past the one million mark internationally.

The song was co-written by P!nk and her version appears on the diva’s recently released greatest hits compilation.

Listen to the tune that could bring Glambert Grammy glory below.

Fingers crossed!
