Big three to face questioning

Three of the Darlinghurst area’s most significant office-holders will face a question and answer forum at Slide on Tuesday May 26.

Sydney Lord Mayor and Bligh MP Clover Moore will join Surry Hills Local Area Commander Donna Adney and Darlinghurst Business Partnership president Andrew Duckmanton at the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Business Association event, and the floor for questions will be wide open.

Donna Adney initiated this event, SGLBA president Christopher Brooks said. She is keen to get a grassroots impression of what people who live and work in the Surry Hills LAC think. This is the first of a series for her.

Brooks, who will host the event, said the floor would be open to questions on any topic, providing they related to the Surry Hills and Darlighhurst areas.

They’ll be taking questions from the floor after dinner on any subject that is of interest to you regarding our community and area, he said.

People can ask any questions that relate to the area -” business concerns, safety, daytime trading, evening activities, etc.

Brooks said the dinner was a priority event for SGLBA members who have a keen interest in the future of the business precinct.

The night will also boast a three-course meal and a donation to charity via the SGLBA Good Works Fund.

info: The SGLBA community forum will be held at Slide on Tuesday, May 26 from 6.30pm. Tickets are $75 each from sglba.com.au for members. General admission tickets are on sale now.
