Hanson-Young shows her ambitious side

The Greens senator spearheading her party’s push for marriage reform reportedly challenged for the party’s deputy leadership.

The Australian newspaper reports today that Senatar Sarah Hanson-Young challenged fellow senator Christine Milne for the position just weeks after the August election.

Hanson-Young has been at the forefront of marriage reform, not only speaking out in Parliament, but attending same-sex marriage rallies across the country.

Greens leader Bob Brown has confirmed the challenge, saying Senator Milne retained the deputy leadership by a “clear majority”.

  1. Senator Hanson Young – pffft showing her ambitious side? or lack of maturity. Senator Milne pushed for gay law reform in Tasmania for years in state parliament before taking her seat years ahead of Hanson Young in the Australian parliament.

  2. The Australian Newspaper is not able to be trusted as it is the Liberal Party Press. It sprooks all the policies of the Liberal Party. Stories are invented and called news when they are fiction.
