HOME MASS

Gay Catholic group Acceptance is hosting its next Home Mass on Sunday 29 April at Ben, Francisco and Conrad’s place in Redfern (Young St) from midday, with the service commencing at 12:30pm. A barbecue will follow the Mass, and participants are asked to bring their own food and drinks. More details can be found at www.gaycatholics.com.au.

THESE BOOTS WERE MADE FOR WALKING

The SCOG bushwalkers are heading into the depths of the Megalong Valley, just down from Blackheath in the Blue Mountains, on Saturday 28 April for the Tinpot Mountain walk. The grade is considered medium, but the views offered along the scenic walk are classed as spectacular for the 10km round walk. Keen walkers should contact Peter on 4567 7965. RUNNING ON

The Sydney Frontrunners won’t be sleeping in on the public holiday, as a special Anzac Day training run has been scheduled from 9am in Centennial Park. Runners are encouraged to wear their best khaki singlets or shorts to get into the military remembrance mood of the day. Frontrunners have also announced there are only a few seats left for the Hunter Valley tour on Sunday 6 May, for a day adventure of wine-tasting, eating and sightseeing. QUEER MOVIE MARATHON

It’s a feast of queer movie favourites at Twenty10 with the Queer Movie Marathon on Friday 20 April from 5pm. The marathon is part of Twenty10’s celebrations for Youth Week and is a free event for all people under 25, with free popcorn also on offer. Twenty10 is located at 45 Bedford St, Newtown.

LESBIAN CANCER SUPPORT

A support group for lesbians diagnosed with cancer and their partners will meet at the Cancer Council NSW, 153 Dowling St, Kings Cross, on Wednesday 25 April from 6pm.
