PFLAG needs you
PFLAG (Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays) is looking for volunteers to become committee members.
Committee meetings are held bi-monthly on Sunday afternoons and are a great way of developing camaraderie between the members.
There are two major events each year with which the group requires assistance: Mardi Gras Fair Day in late February and the Mardi Gras parade.
Both of these events are very rewarding and a lot of fun, but can only happen if there are enough people on the ground to help out.
In addition, there are other opportunities throughout the year for people who want to become involved.
PFLAG is a well respected organisation in the community and this has been achieved through the dedication and hard work of its committee members.
