Shakespeare gets sexy

Centennial Park is getting a sexy Shakespeare makeover this month.
A Midsummer Night’s Dream, part of the Shakespeare Under the Stars festival, will kick off Sydney’s summer entertainment program in the park’s popular Belvedere Amphitheatre.
The show stars Berynn Schwerdt, Lucy Miller, Brendon McDonnall and Antony Grgas, who are all part of the emerging NightSky theatre company. The Sydney Chamber Orchestra will provide the music.
“NightSky is Sydney’s emerging alternative professional Shakespeare company, dedicated to bringing fresh, accessible and hugely entertaining productions of the highest calibre to Sydney audiences,” McDonnall said.
“The move to Centennial Park follows four very successful seasons of Shakespeare Under the Stars at Grant Reserve, performed as the major event of the annual Coogee Arts Festival.”
A Midsummer Night’s Dream will play from 1 November till 25 November. Tickets start at $22. Bookings: www.moshtix.com.au.
