Thunderbags are go!
Combining two of the gay community’s greatest loves – sixties kitsch and accessories – one of the most anticipated floats of the parade is sure to be Thunderbags Are Go.
A squadron of thunderbags – oversized, puppet string-controlled handbags – will make their way down Oxford St. A drag Lady Penelope, dressed in the essential colour of the night, pink, will be there to accompany the procession, as will marching Virgils and a series of Scotts piloting gold-sequined handbags.
