New video campaign for marriage equality

A new video campaign is seeking to highlight support in the community for marriage equality.

The video, which has in two days been watched by over 6,000 people on YouTube was produced for Australian Marriage Equality by DJ Dan Murphy with the support of the City of Sydney and GetUp and shot inside the Sydney Town Hall.

The video features author Mia Freedman, newsreader Geoff Field, video blogger Natalie Tran, broadcaster Julie McCrossin, ex-Big Brother contestant Dave Graham, Carl Katter (brother of Independent MP Bob Katter) , and Vietnam veteran and father to a gay son  Geoff Thomas, all explaining why they say “I Do” to marriage equality, while hundreds of supporters form a pie chart illustrating the various levels of support for same-sex marriage in different segments of the community.

Australian Marriage Equality have also launched a new website to go with the video campaign, www.ido.org.au
