Pulse – Toni Braxton
One of modern R’n’Bs most underrated artists, Toni Braxton shows she’s still got it with Pulse. Thankfully, she’s backed up by some of the strongest material of her career, from the funky Make My Heart to the infectious Single Ladies soundalike Lookin’ At Me. But really, Toni’s always been about the lovelorn power ballads, and the half-dozen included here are all outstanding.
