Just by throwing a ball, you could help our ambitious gay softballers get to Copenhagen for the World Outgames.

On June 7, the Sydney Outfielders will host a softball tournament open to newbies and pros alike, to raise funds for their trip to the Outgames.

Beginners and avid softball fans alike are invited to take part in the day, which will have something for everyone -” including pitching, batting and home run competitions for anyone who doesn’t feel like committing to a whole game.

We’re hoping to raise enough money to pay for some accommodation and registration, event organiser Fabian Pazmino explained.

Teams can enter and register up until May 20 and individuals can get in touch to be put in a team.

Teams will play off against each other in three divisions before the winners battle it out in a finals series.

info: Players must register in advance to take part. For more information or to register call Fabian on 0402 993 630 or email fabian.pazmino@morningstar.com by May 20.
