It’s time to hit the courts to watch partners dust the clay powder off their best Henin/Nadal game as LGBT tennis group Tennis Sydney prepares to hold its 2013 Doubles Clay Tournament at Kingsford this Sunday, May 19.

Four divisions with two groups per divisions and five teams per group will do battle on the day.

Within each group, each team will play a round robin of four matches of one set, first to six games.

The winner of each group will advance to their division final. The runner up of each group will advance to a third/fourth playoff.

The tournament is held at East Courts Tennis (1 Court Ave, Kingsford) from 8am-5am. It’s $65 per doubles team.

There are places for the first 40 paid teams only and strictly available to Tennis Sydney members only.

Get down there and make a racket in support of LGBT sportspeople.
