Be quick for our float

Respecting Equality Amongst Lesbians (REAL) is pleased to announce two new facilitators for the group who have taken up the baton for organising the activities and services REAL provides for lesbians in the region.

A free meditation group meets each Thursday morning in the ACON Illawarra Community Space (18 Ellen St, Wollongong). Suitable for beginners through to the more practised, this group meets for a 7.30am start. Sessions run for approximately 30 minutes. Access is via the side gate to the community space. Please be prompt to avoid disturbing others and wear comfortable clothes. Stay for tea and toast afterwards.

The next UNITY Dance will be held Saturday, March 26 at Beaton Park Tennis Club from 8pm-12.30am. The theme is ‘Burlesque’, with prizes, shows and good company. Cost at the door is $10. Contact UNITY at [email protected] for more information or to find out how you can become involved.

Places are filling up fast in this year’s Illawarra Mardi Gras float but you still have a chance to squeeze in if you’re quick. Float entry this year costs $25 plus costume, and we’re only a matter of weeks out, so it’s all systems go through to the finish on Saturday, March 5.
