How healthy is your vagina?

How healthy is your vagina?

Though not something I ever expected to be starting an article with, I’m happy to say this hot topic will be on lips and minds around the state on Thursday, July 28 as rural and regional lesbian and same-sex attracted women come together for the next instalment of the Byte by Byte lesbian health information sessions.

Byte by Byte is a multi-session statewide program that allows lesbians and same-sex attracted women to simultaneously network, learn and share experiences through an interactive online environment.

This session uncovers all things vaginal, and should be a fun, informative way for women to get in touch with each other while learning about their health.

Involvement in Byte by Byte is easy. Link in through your local community group or participate from the comfort of your own home. High-speed internet isn’t a necessity, so remote area access shouldn’t be a problem (ask about system requirements when registering).

If you’re unable to attend on the night, you can register to watch the recordings at a later date.

Contact Nadia at ACON’s Illawarra office for more information on 02 4226 1163 or [email protected] To participate you need to register with Nadia by Friday, July 22. This assures it remains a safe environment, even online, in which to share your experiences and information.

On August 4, Hume Phoenix hosts its third annual Drag Night! at Zed Bar on Dean St, Albury. Always a great night, with hilarious performances and a great mix of people, this year sees a revamped format, great prizes and crowning of the King and Queen of drag.

Drag Night! runs from 7.30-11.30pm. If you don’t want to perform but come in drag anyway, Zed Bar will provide a free drink on arrival. Performers please contact Kelly Dwyer, Steve Onley or Toni Johnson (through Hume Phoenix’s Facebook page).
