More than 80 LGBTIQ community members attended the recent Tropical Fruits AGM, with 20 people nominating for the nine management committee roles. The AGM concluded with a community forum on the future direction of Tropical Fruits.

It is great to see our local community taking an active interest in our local community organisation.

The next Tropical Fruits party, called ‘Hot Cross Buns’, is during Easter on Saturday, April 23. Venue to be confirmed. Cost $25/$30/$35.

ACON Northern Rivers is starting a new group for same-sex attracted young people on the Tweed. The group will meet for eight weeks on Wednesdays in Murwillumbah,  starting on March 16 at 4.30pm and it’s free. Contact Tobin on 02 6622 1555 for more details.

The Australian Federation of AIDS Organisations (AFAO) is holding focus groups for gay men in Lismore to assist in the development of upcoming campaign work. AFAO will provide a small payment to participants. Providing your details will result only in an invitation to attend. Your details will not be used for any other purposes. Frou Frou Productions present DELICIOUS on Saturday, April 9 at Lismore Bowlo. Fresh from playing the Mardi Gras Pool Party at the Ivy, and Fomo at Arq, we welcome to the DELICIOUS decks DJ Ish (Brisbane). Joining Ish will be DJs Lady K and 1iSAMURAi. Doors open at 9pm, and the event runs till 2am. Cost is $15.
