The middle of the year is upon us and although it”s cold, it is worthwhile rugging up and participating in the many activities available this month for the GLBT community in the Northern Rivers.
Planning our financial lives is often fraught with challenges. With the recent changes to Centrelink laws regarding same-sex relationships there is now new legislation to navigate. For current information for same-sex couples on Centrelink benefits, Centrelink staff will present an information seminar on Thursday 28 May at 6pm at the Lismore Workers Club. What better way to keep warm than reading a book all cosy in bed? If reading is your pleasure, come to ACON”s GLBT Book Club. It will be held the third Tuesday of the month, starting at 5.15pm. Next gathering will take place Tuesday 16 June at ACON in Uralba St, Lismore.
