Unassigned Gallery, The Pleasure Project and curator Tor Evans are proud to present Not Just a Phrase, a group exhibition that celebrates language and symbols that hold meaning for LGBTQIA+ artists: it’s not just a phase, it’s a phrase. Reclaiming language and cultural symbols, the 10 artists featured have created 20 works that demonstrate “how queer women and gender diverse people use words, phrases and symbols to signal identity, find community and take back power.” Featuring CJ Starc, Dylan Barnes, Frances Cannon, George Keats (one half of Queerways!), Jay Van Nus, Little Eyes Alien, Mads Rowe, Mish Keating, Sophie Shingles and Zoe Sydney.

When: January 25 – February 5, 2024, Friday–Monday, 11–4pm
Where: Unassigned Gallery, 55 Edward Street, Brunswick
