The Tasmanian Theatre Company production of the acclaimed I Am My Own Wife, comes to Melbourne on May 6 and 7. The play tells the true story of Charlotte von Mahlsdorf and her escape from persecution during World War 2. Despite being a man who lived as a woman, she was known for living her distinctive life adamantly on her own terms. The Tony Award-winning play is at the Clocktower Centre.
