Katy Perry tweets Gotye, Kimbra love
American pop star Katy Perry has taken to Twitter to express her love of Melbourne singer Gotye.
Having discovered his track Somebody that I used to know featuring fellow Melbourne-based artist Kimbra, Perry tweeted:
“New music discovery (for me!). Check out Gotye, specifically this song ft. Kimbra… The Lyrics are so true!”
In a later tweet she said she’d then bought Gotye’s whole album.
“Actually now I’ve bought the whole Gotye record Making Mirrors and I suggest you should too. It’s going to be my favourite I can tell.”
Perry joins the likes of Ashton Kutcher and Lily Allen who have also expressed their love for the Belgian-Australian performer over Twitter.
