Ricky Martin’s perfect response to son’s conception question

PUERTO Rican singer and The Voice Australia judge Ricky Martin recently revealed how he responded when one of his six-year-old twin sons asked: “Dad, was I in your belly?”

In an interview on the Enrique Santos Show on Univision MIX 98.3, a Miami-based Spanish-language radio station, Martin said he responded with: “You were in my heart and you are still in my heart.”

The openly-gay singer said he explained further, feeling he couldn’t end it there.

“‘There was a woman that I adore with all my heart that helped me bring you into this world’,” he recounted to radio show host Luisa Fernanda.

“‘She lent me her belly so that you could come and when you were born she put you in my arms.’ And he said ‘ah, ok’ and he kept playing.”

Martin’s twin sons Matteo and Valentino were born through gestational surrogacy in 2008.

The singer also indicated during the interview that he’d like more kids, especially girls.

“I’m just getting started with this fatherhood thing and I’m going for more, I come from a big family and I like noise and chaos in my house,” he said.

  1. As his son, my next question would have been – where is my mummy and why don’t I have a normal family like other kids?

Ricky, like many others of his (its) kind put their own welfare above those of children making a mockery of article 21 of the UN Convention on the rights of children. But then, what do these people care? It appears that children are just another way of making believe that they are normal but never will be. Suffer the little children.
