Attention: disco with no deficit
The Mardi Gras Festival is all about celebration, and where better to celebrate than at the first official dance party of the event, Attention Deficit Disco (A.D.D.)?
Stellar sets from Graham Cordery, GI Jode and Ben Kelly are sure to keep your body pumping and your drinks over-flowing.
But this party won’t just be like every other night out on the strip -“ A.D.D. will be a little more individual.
I didn’t want it to be like every other fully-blown, tacky themed night. A.D.D. will incorporate light retro elements drawing on classic tracks from the psychedelic era, event coordinator Tomas Finnerty told SSO.
There will be a diverse range of music, not just electro which seems to be dominating the club scene at the moment. I’d say the music is more an uplifting, funky, house style music -“ tying in with the celebratory theme of Mardi Gras.
Vocalist Kristen Pearson will also play as will up and coming dance group The Next Step.
I’m really excited about the live performances. It will really set the party apart. It will be very different and quirky but I don’t want to give anymore away, Finnerty said.
ADD is at the Mars Lounge on 9 February 9pm-3am. Tickets are $20 + BF from www.attentiondefecitdisco.com.au.
