CAMPARET

The Asian Marching Boys present their next special event, Camparet, on Thursday 14 December at Midnight Shift Club, featuring performances by Kiki Fetch, the AMB dancers and special guests, with music by DJ Shigeki. Entry is $10 from 9pm. Door prizes include tickets to the 2007 Mardi Gras party.

CAROLS AT COOGEE

Stars from the musical stage and TV will be out in force this weekend for the fifth Coogee Carols at Goldstein Reserve, Coogee. The event is becoming a favourite for locals to sing a collection of favourite Christmas tunes, helped along this year by the likes of Amanda Keller, lifestyle TV hunk Brendan Moar, musical theatre belters Michael Falzon and Chloe Dallimore, and former Big Brother hottie Logan Greg.

This year’s Carols will be held from 6pm, with the sale of candles and glow sticks raising money for the Children’s Cancer Institute of Australia.

ATTENTION DEFICIT DISCO

Attention Deficit Disco is a new monthly club night being launched this Friday 15 December at Le Panic in Kings Cross. Organisers say they’re aiming to attract a gay and gay-friendly crowd -“ boys and girls of all persuasions.

The music will be funked-up house and the DJs include Tom Da Silva, Ben Kelly, and Scotty J. It’s $10 to get in from 8pm. Le Panic, 20 Bayswater Rd, Kings Cross. TOYBOX LUNA PARK

Toybox has announced another party at Luna Park the day after the Mardi Gras party on Sunday 4 March. Tickets go on sale to the public on Friday 15 December for $149 each. DJs will include Shigeki, Mark Alsop, Rob Davis and Bruce Dixon. See the Toybox website.

FLAMENCO FEVER

Expect a fiesta when acclaimed Spanish dancer Eva Yerbabuena and her company Ballet Flamenco make their Sydney debut at the Opera House in January. The company is among the world’s leading flamenco groups and will showcase its talent with its production Eva.

The show tells of a woman’s search for independence, mixing traditional flamenco with modern dance. Eva Yerbabuena Ballet Flamenco performs at the Sydney Opera House on 23, 24 and 25 January. Book on 9250 7777 or at the Sydney Opera House website.

ARQ ANGELS

Drag heavyweights Minnie Cooper, pictured, Kitty Glitter, Charisma Belle and Miss Tiffany are headlining Arq’s new Thursday night production show Arq Angels. The night also includes performances by DJs Justin Scott, Alex Taylor and Mark Alsop. Doors open at 9pm and entry is free. Arq is at 16 Flinders St, Taylor Square.
