Thank you for the music
“Thank you for the music, the songs I’m singing,” and still singing. I want to start with the biggest thank you to all the DJs who made Mardi Gras 2010 such a wonderful, uplifting, magical journey.
“Thank you for all the joy they’re bringing,” and still bringing. A special thanks to Paul Goodyear (Mexico), Tim Jones (London), DJ Bramsterdam (Netherlands), DJ General (Amsterdam) for letting me into the DJ box to see the magic with everyone with their hands in the air and smiling with delight.
Let me tell you about one night when I was not on the dancefloor but still the crowd had their hands up in the air … applauding with sheer delight. Sero Disco was panelled by the stunning Vanessa Wagner and hosted by Marc Kuzma alias Claire de Lune. Kisses … I love you both equally. Thank you to Kathy Triffitt and Rob Lake from Positive Life NSW for inviting me to take part in this amazing evening.
I had the greatest pleasure of making two new friends at the 30 Years of Leather Champions, held at the Polo Lounge — Jeffrey Payne (International Mr Leather 2009) and his beautiful husband David. Gentlemen is the only word to describe them both.
Thank you to Patrick, Robert and Josh for taking time out of their busy schedules to answer some important and hard-hitting questions about our leather community.
Thank you to Tim Earl for bringing the most brilliant interpreters and sign performers at almost every event this Mardi Gras. Another thanks to Jeffrey for teaching how to sign ‘love’ for the parade.
Bailey John-Nicholson, please come forward. Without the imaginative mind of this energetic sexy leatherman, I would not have had the opportunity to be on a Sydney Leather Pride float along with the handsome Tom of Finland dancer Stu and DJ Mann for the soundtrack. Big hugs to everyone who marched with the Leather Pride flag and made all of us visible on the night.
And Fi and Karen (from the day of Harbour Party at the Oxford Hotel) … you made Chewbee laugh like I have not seen him laugh in a long time!
And thank you to Gold’s Gym for the brilliant music every morning I work out with Stevie (Jackson) who has made me look and feel the best I have in my life!
