This year, Mardi Gras’ naughtier sibling Sleaze Ball is joined by a swag of parties, so no matter what your taste there is a party or recovery happening for you.

Faggot Rooster teams up with the flesh-flashing Celia Curtis on Thursday for a Super Sleaze show at Glamour Pour Le Hammer at the Colombian. DJs Jack Shit and guests spin beats from 10pm.

The Harbour City Bears host Melbourne’s Listen Up crew on Friday night at the Flinders. A gold coin donation for Twenty10 gets you in. The Bears will also meet out front of the DJ booth in the Hordern Pavilion at the Sleaze Ball on Saturday night for those who want to join the pack.

So You Know You Can DJ will be a mix of the best new and resident DJs at Arq from 9pm with DJs Jimmy Dee, Mark Loasby, DJ Dom, Matt Effect and Justin Scott on the vortex level, while Funked Up features Sandi Hotrod and Greg Boladian in the arena. Entry is $10.

On Saturday night this year’s Sleaze Ball theme is Villain’s Lair. The Hordern Pavilion will feature The Potbelleez plus DJs Alan Thompson, Sveta, Mark Murphy, Deepchild, GI Joe, Luke Leal, Jake Kilby and Beatrix. Tickets are available from Ticketek for $99 for Mardi Gras members, $119 for non-members and $79 for concessions.

Love Gaze is a day party at Trademark on Sunday, for those seeking out the beautiful people. DJs are Kate Monroe, Alex Taylor, Jason Barry, GI Jode and Steve Stodge (Melb). It’s $20 on the door or $10 if you email your name to [email protected].

Women and trannies can recover in splendour at Gurlesque’s Sleaziest Ball in the Manning Bar, Sydney Uni from 6pm till midnight on Sunday night. It’s DJ Gemma plus early shows at 7.15pm. Entry is $25 on the door. Afterwards, ladies can continue their sleazy ways at Aarows, 17 Bridge St, Rydalmere, where the event Isle of Lesbos is taking place. Entry is $20.

At Crash at Arq, special guest, former Sydneysider, now London-based DJ Brent Nicholls will be playing alongside DJ Scotty and Luke Leal. Tickets are $25 in advance from Bang and the Toolsheds or $30 at the door. And Arq will be open during the day Sunday and Monday so you can recover whenever you need to.

Loose Ends returns to the Phoenix on Sunday night with Super Size Me, featuring Matt Vaughan and Stephen Allkins. Entry is $10.

DTPM is having its Masquerade Ball at Tank on Sunday from 10pm, headlined by special guest DJ from Ministry of Sound, Goodwill, alongside Alan Thompson, Liam Sampras, Mark Murphy, Sveta and Zac Hennessey. Tickets are $49+BF from Hum.

Action Uncensored at the Arthouse is a party for men who like it rough, featuring UK guest DJ Hannah Holland plus Melbourne’s Andrew Padula, John Devecchis, Carlos Zarate and Jeremy Koch. The party runs from 5pm till midnight and tickets are $45+BF from the Toolshed Oxford St and Hum Records.

Extra Dirty at the Oxford Art Factory will be throbbing to the tribal/progressive beats of Eric Entrena from Barcelona, plus Matt Rowan, Mandy Rollins, Buck Naked, Feisty, Mark Murphy, Sveta, and a show by Alks. Advance tickets are $49+BF from Bang, Spank and Maxxx Black.

Finally, the Midnight Shift offers two Sleaze Sunday parties -” Classic Anthems featuring Ruby and Stephen Simpson from 6am Sunday, and Indulgence Underground Sunday from 10pm, a leather and denim event with DJs Jack Chang (UK) and DJ Chip. Entry during the day is $15 and $35 at night.
