Bimbo Jones signs on for MG

Bimbo Jones will join French superstar DJ David Guetta in the Royal Hall of Industries (RHI) at the 2010 Mardi Gras party.

Bimbo Jones AKA Lee Dagger is currently enjoying number one spot in the UK Commercial Club Chart with a remix of Lady Gaga’s Bad Romance.

It was Lee’s tour of Australia last November which included a very well received night at Arq which brought him to the attention of NMG as a great fit for the RHI.

Lee is a UK DJ whose roots lie in funk, soul, hip hop and the house and the rave scene. With partner Marc JB, Lee has provided hit dancefloor remixes for top pop stars like The Killers, Usher, PINK, Britney Spears, Ciara and Annie Lennox. For the second consecutive year they were nominated for Best Remixer at the International Dance Music Awards in Miami last March.

Their funky, dirty and above all fun recent album Harlem 1 Stop with singer Katherine Ellis – who performed with The Freemasons at Mardi Gras Party 2009 – was a true collaboration of hit makers. Together Bimbo Jones share more than 30 club chart #1’s in the UK and US alone!

Also announced today for the party at today’s Season Guide launch were Dan Murphy, Jake Kilby, Alan Thompson, Mark Murphy, Sveta, Mandy Rollins, Ben Drayton, GI Jode and Steve Sonius. The full DJ line-up will be announced in January.

“The RHI is going to be hosting not one, but two veritable hit machines this Mardi Gras,” outgoing NMG CEO Anna McInerney said.

“We will have more to say about the Hordern at a later stage. Suffice is to say we’re not going to be letting the fans of progressive house down in 2010.”
