Eight whole minutes of Angry Boys
The ABC last night screened the biggest teaser yet for Chris Lilley’s forthcoming Angry Boys series – an eight-minute rundown introducing all of the show’s major characters.
Lilley’s love of queer themes and characters continues unabashed: check out Gran, the lesbian juvenile detention centre guard who breeds guinea pigs and lives with her partner Penny.
And we get a better look at Lilley’s Japanese alpha-mum Jen Okazaki, whose search for a ‘hook’ to market her talented skateboarder son sees her force him to conceal his (hetero) sexuality.
Meanwhile, Dunt twins Nathan and Daniel get a visit from Henry, a ‘homo’ from their school, in an attempt by their mother to make them more tolerant.
No screening date has been released for the series, but you can check out the extended trailer below.
