Nursery rhymes for naughty lesbians

To bring comfort to her ailing partner, author and cartoonist Marie Davis put her energy into a book of lesbian nursery rhymes.
I couldn’t touch her because of the illness she had, so I wrote this book so I could call her up in the evening and read it to her and make her laugh, Davis told Sydney Star Observer.
It was the sound of her laughter and encouragement that also kept me going. She told me, -˜Keep writing, don’t worry about the story, it will come.’ Turns out her advice was some of the best ever.
As a result of this guidance Davis has released the audio book Hey Diddle Diddle -” A Naughty Delight for Lesbians and Other Grown-Ups.
After working as a cartoonist for nearly 20 years, Davis said her vision of the world had become very animated, making the adult nursery rhymes easier to envision and write.
She said the audio book was meant to make people laugh and get them thinking a little deeper than they might with similar material -” and along the way rediscover the treasures of their own imagination.
It’s like giving people permission to daydream and to give their own sexual fantasies room to play along with the passionate diversity of characters, Davis said.
My novel tells the story behind this famous 18th century English nursery rhyme. Lil, the main character, is a person a lot of women can relate too. In fact, they have probably dated her.
In Lil’s kitchen there is a lusty dominatrix encounter between a bowl and a colander, and gingham panty-clad toast bits are applauding the lesbian sex!
Davis is the creator of three comic strips: Kentucky Tales, She said-¦ She said-¦, and Women I Have Loved, a lesbian cartoon strip published in five languages. Hey Diddle Diddle is published by the lesbian-owned publishing house Motes Books.
Mote Books has given my voice as a lesbian the opportunity to be heard, Davis said.
