BiZARRE fundraiser

BiZARRE fundraiser

A special performance night at Chapel Off Chapel this month will raise money for renovations to Kaye Sera’s BiZARRE in St Kilda.

The much needed retro fit of the cabaret venue is designed to bring it in-line with current fire and safety standards.

Performers will be donating their time in support of the intimate showroom and Sera is hoping those that have enjoyed the diverse showcase of talent at the space will come out to show their support.

“This is a new development in the life of the BiZARRE. It’s a big step up for us. But with the help of our many supporters who’ve enjoyed a night’s cabaret entertainment at the BiZARRE, we will be able to make these necessary changes and meet local council expectation for a lively community arts hub,” Kaye Sera said.

The venue was an official community hub at this year’s Midsumma Festival and Sera will be honoured with a special Contribution to Cabaret gong at this year’s Green Room Awards – to be held at the Famous Spiegeltent on March 21.

Amongst the big line-up of performers at the fundraiser will be Dolly Diamond, Luke Gallagher, Dean Acuri and Cath Jamison.

The BiZARRE fundraiser is on Tuesday, March 29 from 7.30pm in the Chapel Off Chapel foyer. Tickets are $25. Bookings: www.chapeloffchapel.com.au
