Colman takes second award
Siobhan Colman took out her second Mardi Gras Short Story Awards prize last week.
Colman’s work, The Emancipation of Miss Pickles, took out the prize at a function at Winery by Gazebo, adding to her win in 2008.
Second prize went to Jonathan Neal for Time on Our Hands and A.Ralph took out third prize for Memories of Heat.
Rebecca Langham took out the Under 26 years Youth Prize for The Baker and His Wife.
Highly commended awards were presented to Christian Baines for The Entropist, Emma Dorothy Ashmere for Silent Partner and Adrien Abbott for Shortcrust.

It was also the second time R.L has won the youth prize – I had remembered her last story from a couple of years back “The Parking Lot.”
