Comedian Jakie Loeb will headline Aurora’s annual Fat Tuesday fundraising feast.
The annual GLBT take on Shrove Tuesday, which combines great food with great entertainmnent and a great cause – gay and lesbian community organisations, is a Mardi Gras must that never disappoints.
Accompanying the sumptuous three-course meal this year, is a delectable line-up of performers being overseen by musical director for the evening, Bev Kennedy – a leading Australian musician who has performed with the likes of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, as well as the greatest starlets of the local cabaret scene toni Lamond, Kaye Tuckerman and Aunty Mavis.
Coming under her auspices will be a variety of emerging talents, including the winner of the 2008 Cabaret Showcase, Sheridan Harbridge and Marney McQueen, of Priscilla the Musical fame.
Tickets are $110, including three-course meal, matching wines and ongoing entertainment. Money raised goes towards Aurora coffers, which support gay and lesbian youth service Twenty10, the Gay and Lesbian Counselling Service, and a range of GLBT community organisations and programs each year.
