SGLBA supports community-based good works

In August, the SGLBA donated $2000 to the Bobby Goldsmith Foundation from its community Good Works fund. A presentation was made at both Lemons with a Twist and Fruits in Suits to BGF’s chief executive officer, Bev Lange.
The Bobby Goldsmith Foundation is Australia’s oldest HIV charitable organisation, and was established by a dedicated group of Bobby Goldsmith’s friends in 1984. BGF has helped thousands of men, women and children living with HIV.
Today, their mission is to help people living with HIV by providing practical, emotional and financial support — the kind of ongoing, unconditional support that usually only friends and family would provide.
SGLBA commends BGF for the outstanding work they have done in the community, and congratulates them on celebrating their 25th anniversary in 2009.
It is only through the support of SGLBA members and guests at events such as Fruits in Suits and Lemons with a Twist that such donations to our community can continue. We thank all members and guests for their ongoing support.
