David Bowie’s iPhone app

David Bowie’s iPhone app

David Bowie plans to unveil his second iPhone app to coincide with the re-release of his 1975 classic Golden Years on June 6.

The pop icon’s Space Oddity app was a hit with fans last year, so EMI are preparing to roll out another one for his latest offering.

It will allow fans to make their own remixes by providing all of the song’s components, from Bowie’s lead vocal to audio of the guitar, bass, drums, guitar, percussion and even backing vocals.

Bowie originally recorded the track in 1975 for his Station To Station album.

His reworked version of The Golden Years will be released on CD, vinyl and digital download.

Check out the EP’s tracklist:

1. Golden Years (Single Version) (2002 Digital Remaster)
2. Golden Years (Anthony Valadez KCRW Remix)
3. Golden Years (Eric J. Lawrence KCRW Remix)
4. Golden Years (Chris Douridas KCRW Remix)
5. Golden Years (Jeremy Sole KCRW Remix)
