Looking at the new gay TV series

TEASER trailers have been released on YouTube of new American TV show Looking, a gay-themed drama series set in San Francisco that follows the lives of three men in their 30s as they search for life’s answers to finding love and happiness.

It has been a while since the world of TV has seen a gay-inspired series, with many being able to identify with shows like Queer as Folk, Will and Grace and for some Rick and Steve. The Star Observer hopes that Looking takes the time to identify with many of the the issues that face the LGBTI community of today.

The show will star Jonathan Groff and Russell Tovey and first episode will premier on HBO on January 19.

It is not yet known whether it will be shown on Australian TV.

Support the Star Observer… while you still can

LGBTQIA+ media is under threat. Queer content is censored by tech conglomerates who amplify bigotry and push out AI slop — so we receive less financial support than ever.

When our community is muzzled and intolerance intensifies, we need queer media more than ever. Your donation means we can continue paying queer journalists to write queer news.

Don’t rely on the straight lies of big tech – support Star Observer instead and donate now.
