Move over Tom Daley there is a new hottie in town

Tom Daley has some stiff competition when it comes to who is our favourite British male diver gay icon, because there is a ‘new’ guy in town ticking all the right boxes. Olympian Jack Laugher is his name and he has a zero-tolerance policy for racism and homophobia in sports: “It should be absolute – if you say something that can be offensive … like racism [or] insulting gay people, [there] should be an instant ban or some kind of penalty so it just doesn’t happen.”

He also doesn’t mind having gay fans.

“With diving it doesn’t really matter – you’ve got the middle-aged women and young girls anyway, and then gay men. That’s the entire fan base, and that following would be supportive,” he says.

When questioned about Tom Daley he replied, “Tom Daley is nice and tanned, and that draws in quite a gay following.”

Here is hoping there is some more competition between the two out of the pool for the gay community fan base around the world. Because as of the December issue of Gay Times Magazine, Jack Laugher, is going to be our new Olympic pin up boy with a stunning cover and photo series inside.
