Nelly & Elton update a classic
Canadian pop star Nelly Furtado has teamed up with new dad Elton John to update his ’70s classic Crocodile Rock for the new Disney film Gnomeo & Juliet.
The new version doesn’t exactly stay true to the original – with a sprinkling of new lyrics and a Hi-NRG overhaul – but it sounds just about right for an animated kid’s movie.
Elton was heavily involved with the entire project.
Apart from singing the theme song with Nelly, he also teamed up with Lady Gaga for another tune called Hello, Hello and even wrote the score.
