AUSTRALIAN model and DJ Ruby Rose has indicated in an interview with the US edition of Elle magazine that she will join the cast of Orange Is The New Black for season three.

While Netflix has remained tight-lipped on the openly-gay 28-year-old’s appearance, they have confirmed that Rose will portray Stella Carlin, “an inmate at Litchfield Federal Correctional Institution whose sarcastic sense of humour and captivating looks quickly draw the attention of some of Litchfield’s inmates,” and as “a romantic interest for the show’s two leads: inmates Piper Chapman (Taylor Schilling) and Alex Vause (Laura Prepon)”.

OITNB can be seen on Foxtel’s Showcase channel and the third season will be available on Netflix later this year.

Fairfax Media reports that the third season of OITNB will also air on Foxtel, despite Netflix launching in Australia early next year.
