The Drag Race Philippines season four cast remembered their sister and celebrated her artistry after her death during production in this week’s episode.

Misua’s voice remained part of the performance as Drag Race Philippines paid tribute to the late contestant in an emotional episode that brought her fellow queens together following her sudden death during production.

The 27-year-old performer died in her sleep on April 2 while season four was being filmed with production pausing to support the cast and crew.

Now, the episode filmed around her passing has aired, showing Misua preparing for the girl group challenge before the programme acknowledged her death on screen.

Following her final confessional, two title cards appeared on screen.

“We are heartbroken to share that Jason Elvie Ty, known to many as Misua, passed away in her sleep on the morning of April 2, 2026. Misua was a talented queen from Cagayan de Oro. She brought light, artistry, and joy to everyone around her. She will be deeply missed,” the first card read.

The second stated: “Her passing occurred during the filming of this episode. Production was temporarily halted to care for the queens and provide support for the cast and crew. We honor Misua’s memory and her beautiful spirit that she generously shared with the world. We pay tribute to her today and for the entire season. Light and love, dearest Misua.”

When the queens returned to the Werk Room, they shared memories of the performer whose time alongside them had been cut short.

Bombalicious Eklaver reflected on how suddenly the news had changed their experience of the competition.

“This is like a wake-up call that life is really short,” she said.

For Merckz, who knew Misua before the show, the loss also meant remembering their excitement about finally competing together. Both had previously helped other queens prepare, through choreography and fashion design.

“We were talking about how we’re not behind the scenes anymore, you know?” Merckz said.

“She told me, ‘Sis, we’re in the spotlight now.’”

The tribute continued on the main stage. Misua’s recorded verse remained in the girl group number, with dimmed lighting and a yellow dragon marking her part in the performance.

There was no elimination. Instead, Merckz and Katana performed a lip-sync for the win, bringing the yellow dragon into their tribute once again. Merckz was named the winner.

The programme’s official X (Twitter) account also shared a message of remembrance:

“Misua, you will always have a place in our hearts ❤️ Mama Pao, World of Wonder, and the entire Drag Race family honor our beloved Misua in tonight’s episode of Drag Race Philippines.”
