ACON launches annual survey on gay men sexual health and behaviour

ACON will conduct its annual Sydney Gay Community Periodic Survey from today until Tuesday, March 3.
During this period, volunteers will visit 20 LGBTI-friendly venues and events in Sydney, such as Mardi Gras Fair Day on Sunday, clinics, pubs, clubs, sex venues, and gyms.
Gay men are encouraged to take part in the survey, which aims to gain information and understanding on sexual behaviour, sexual health, drug use, and community engagement.
“These surveys give us a very useful picture of how gay men in our community are living their lives,” ACON chief executive Nicolas Parkhill said.
“So if you are approached by one of our recruiters, please take part in the survey.
“It only takes 10 minutes, is completely confidential, and will help us keep our community as healthy as possible.”
The survey will be conducted in conjunction with the Centre for Social Research in Health, the Kirby Institute and Positive Life NSW.
Participants will also be offered the chance to win prizes donated by the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra, Disco Bingay, ARQ, and Teamm8.

Why not do it on-line? A sample from Sydney is not representative of the gay community these days.
