Creating symbols of hope

The 2004 Red Ribbon Appeal is about to kick off, and organisers are looking for keen volunteers to donate a couple of hours this weekend to make ribbons.

The ribbons are sold on World AIDS Day to raise funds and increase awareness of the fight against HIV/AIDS.

Volunteers at this weekend’s red ribbon working bee will be treated to free snacks, drinks, entertainment by some of Sydney’s best talent and a fun atmosphere.

Organisers are also looking for volunteers to sell ribbons on World AIDS Day (Wednesday 1 December) to friends, family, work colleagues or in a caf?r business.

The working bee will be held at the Masonic Centre, corner of Goulburn and Castlereagh streets, Surry Hills, from 10am to 6pm. To volunteer or get more information, email [email protected] or phone 9206 2058.
