Flinders Bar
The old Flinders Hotel has just undergone a makeover which needs to be seen to be believed. The once grotty pub has been transformed into a modern and funky bar, with a cool interior design not dissimilar to the Colombian’s. The second floor has been turned into a very nice and trendy Thai restaurant. Since opening a few weeks back the bar is attracting a more sophisticated queer crowd than it used to, and also a more mixed crowd too. Those who thought the charm of the old Flinders lay in its trashiness will be disappointed, but everyone else should certainly be impressed. The Flinders Bar is at 63-65 Flinders Street, Darlinghurst.
