Flinders not for sale

The lessee of the Flinders Hotel has denied rumours the hotel’s lease is up for sale.
Sydney Star Observer last week received an anonymous phone call advising of the supposed sale.
Lessee Sue Cameron said she had no intention of selling the business, saying it was on the market to ascertain its worth.

I had it up for sale but the reason was entirely for negotiations to do with some works that I’m considering in the future, she said.

I needed to have an idea of what it’s worth -” the banks insist that you back it up, and the best way to test that is to put it on the market and see what it can bring. So it was only for the purposes of valuation.

Cameron confirmed that she did receive bids on the lease, but would not specify from whom or to what value.

  1. What ever the case the Flinders went down the gurgular years ago.It was the place to be on a Friday/Saturday night, such a wonderful place,It was packed to the rafters and you could really have a great time there ( I know I did I used to stay to 7 in the morning lol)
Then some NZ satellite mob bought it & and and at the same time ARQ opened its doors.Soon after the Satellite mob went bankrupt, the Flinders was sold, soon after the Albury closed ( It was the Alburys decision to Abandon a gay crowd and change it to a straight one that mainly destroyed it)
Those were the days, to see a Fantastic show at the albury on a saturday night and when the show was over everyone went to the Flinders or a club in Oxford street.
If anyone has noticed since the closure of the Flinders & The Albury, Oxford street turned to shit.
Bring back our Albury & Flinders !!!!
