AURORA 4TH ANNUAL DINNER
The Aurora dinner raises funds for such organisations as Twenty10 and the Gay & Lesbian Counselling Service. There will be an address by Meredith Burgmann, president of the Legislative Council, and entertainment by Caroline O’Connor and Tim Draxl. The venue is Sydney Town Hall from 6:30pm. GHETTO BLASTING: THE SHAPE OF THINGS TO COME

SELF DEFENCE FOR MEN

SUNDAY RECOVERY @ HOME
Home Nightclub is hosting a recovery dance party from 6pm. DJs on the Terrace will be Kate Monroe and Alex Taylor, while Kelly Lynch and Chip are playing in the Silver Room. A SPIRITUAL CELEBRATION

OUTBURST -“ CELEBRATING 30 YEARS OF LESBIAN AND GAY PRIDE

EDUCATIONAL WORKSHOP
Sydney Leather Pride has organised a workshop dealing with aspects of the leather lifestyle from 7pm at the Pride Centre. TABLE TENNIS

THE BOXING CLUB
The hit of Mardi Gras 2002 returns but this time it’s for Pride Week. And don’t be deceived by its title -“ this is a public speaking contest. SQUASH

MALEBOX
You could find Mr Right or Mr Right Now at Stonewall’s popular Wednesday night party. For Pride Week, they’re asking for a gold coin donation for the Bobby Goldsmith Foundation. From midnight there are prizes every half hour including $100 cash, a City Gym membership or a Body Bronze membership and more. It’s hosted by Ricca Paris with DJs Luke Leal and Chip.

 

THURSDAY 26
 
PACIFICA -“ A CELEBRATION OF CULTURES
Pacifica features performances from across the Pacific, including the legendary Carmen, Miss Asia/Pacific and the best Asian and Polynesian drag performers in Sydney. ASIAN BALL 4
This year’s Asian Ball is at the Shift’s nightclub with a spectacular opening performance by the Chinese Dancing Lions. SENSUAL MEDITATION WORKSHOP

ORGY OF DRAG V
One of the most spectacular and popular annual events of Pride Week is the Orgy of Drag at the Stonewall Hotel. There’ll be more drag queens than you can poke a stick at as well as Flim*Flam* Comedy and a drama or two from 9pm till very late. All proceeds from the $5 door donation go to ACON. WOMEN ‘S WORKSHOP -“ BASIC TOOLS OF WRITING

COMMUNITY DANCE CLASSES
Dance classes for various levels from raw beginners to advanced beginners are regularly held at the Whoosh Studio, 18 City Rd, Chippendale. 30TH ANNIVERSARY SPEAK OUT
The 73ers present a speak-out that aims to raise awareness of the history of the lesbian and gay movement and encourage participation in the ongoing pre-1978 lesbian and gay history project. RIOT 69 DANCE PARTY
This night sounds like riotous fun from 9pm till late at the Stonewall Hotel. The gold coin door donation goes to Twenty10 as well as all the Dancer Dollars collected by Stonewall’s hot male dancers -“ put your money in their pants for Twenty10. DJs for the night are Shigeki, Peter Fam and Ronnie James and glamour divas Mogadonna, Tess Tickle and Courtney Act will lend a hand or two. SUNDAY 29
 
THE SYDNEY STAR OBSERVER 2003 AWARDS NIGHT
Sydney Pride Centre presents the Sydney Star Observer awards night at the Paddington Town Hall from 7pm. It’s a cabaret-style evening with special guest presenters, DJs, fantastic entertainment and a surprise finale featuring the 73ers. Comperes are Gillian Minervini and Portia Turbo. BGF BAKE-OFF

FIT-X GYM FUNDRAISING CABARET
