Pride workshops focus on skills
Brisbane Pride Festival has announced two community workshops that will focus on developing skills and opportunities within the local community to manage a successful GLBTI event.
The first workshop, Working with the Media, will focus on using local media to promote groups or events as effectively as possible.
It will cover how to get the most from local gay and straight media outlets, how to write a media release and will touch on using social media.
The second workshop, Running Your GLBTI Event, covers event management topics such as approaching venues, creating an effective budget and using press and social media for promotion.
Both workshops are free and will be held at the Healthy Communities office in Teneriffe on February 22 (Working with the Media) and February 29 (Running Your GLBTI Event) from 7-9pm.
Places are limited for both workshops.
INFO: To register for either event or for more information, email hazy@stfumedia.com.au and mention which workshop you are interested in.
