Friday, September 7 is Wear It Purple Day – a day to show your support for LGBT young people everywhere. It’s simple to participate, just wear purple, and talk about why you are wearing purple. If you wear purple to Unity Nightclub, Beaumont St Hamilton, on Friday for Wear It Purple Day, they will donate 50 percent of your cover charge to the Wear It Purple organisation to help LGBT young people.

Positive Life NSW are bringing their HIV Roadshow to Newcastle Saturday, September 8 at the Sydney Junction Hotel. To register your attendance please contact Lisa Ronneberg at ACON – [email protected] or phone 4927 6808.

Pride Week is happening at the University of Newcastle from September 17 – 21 . For more information, contact Spectrum at the students association.

SHAG on Hump Day is happening at Ourimbah Campus, Central Coast Wednesday, September 19. ACON and other sexual health and sexuality organisations and groups will be there, it will be fun and interactive, if you’re on campus that day check your sexual health and HIV knowledge, hook up with your local LGBT youth group, and get some info and resources.

Do not miss the Lost Gay Newcastle Reunion party, Saturday, September 29 at the Gateway Hotel. It will be an amazing, fun, magical night. Performers include Madeleine Von Mantrap, Savannah Von Spelling, Suzie St James, Chanel, Glenda Jackson, Wayne Rogers, Bubbles Le Gay, Victoria Dot Com, Mrs White Trash, Angela Andrews and Lucy Laqua. Tickets are $10 and are on sale at the Gateway Hotel Islington.

Den-O-Cide is happening Friday, September 28, Gateway Hotel. Support the Den Magazine fundraiser with fermented fruity goodness and more live music than you can poke a bayonnette at and all for only $10.

Rainbow Visions host Rainbowlicious on Friday, September 28, 5.30pm at Fusion, Sydney Junction Hotel, Hamilton. Rainbowlicious is an informal event for social connection, food and drinks.
