  1. It would be just like the slimey arsehole to pull something like a full U-turn out of the bag to try and save his fucked up career. And plenty would be stupid enough to fall for it.

  2. Bahahahaha! I’m not even going to waste my time on a man who has disowned his sister, the guy’s a nong, a prick, a bully, a lost silvertail. Click through on this, life’s to effing short!

  3. Yeah, I don’t want to see marriage equality being shopped around as a quick save for Tony Abbott’s career. I’d like to think that gay men and women and their supporters in this country would be a bit smarter than to be led to vote for him again based on a single issue, no matter how important it is to them personally. There are other factors to consider, and nobody deserves to win a seat on what should be a basic human right. Besides Abbott withheld the opportunity on a conscience vote in order to garner support. He’s not after the pink vote he’s after conservatives because they still outnumber us.

  4. Well lets face it its time to move forward…,with a tick or a kick otherwise we will just continue to move backwards with this ridiculous form of Politicking.

  5. He’s a bigot, and the only person left preventing marriage equality happening. We should be campaigning to have him ousted. Please someone point to ONE human rights or social issue where he’s softened since becoming PM? I remember his sister & daughters telling Liberal gay voters in 2013 that the man would change his mind one day – what a fraud that was. He didn’t take this job to improve anyone’s human rights, it’s not on his agenda. The public now hates the man and want him out, and his party may just do it sometime soon, but gay rights campaigners still want to suck up to him. Pathetic waste of time. Instead of converting a homophobe like Tony, we could be supporting all the other politicians who aren’t threatened by same-sex relationships.

  6. I would hope most of the pubic who support marriage equality are intelligent enough to see this for what it is a desperate effort to increase approval /popularity ratings and with most of abbots spin would be reversed if he was given the chance

  7. He would only be supporting it to get back in power, for all the wrong reasons really, and he’d probably abolish the bill before it was passed as long as he gets your votes he doesn’t care about anyone.

  8. It shouldn’t be a conscience vote. He should have the balls to just lead by dignified example and make a stand for gay marriage. But we’ll see none of this from him bc he’s driven by his personal beliefs. He doesn’t believe in human rights.
