The Mr Harbour City Bears competition is an important date on the HCB event calendar. Each year, aspiring beefy (yet cuddly and adorable) blokes battle it out for the prestigious title.
This year will be no different. The entrants are diverse and all possess attractive qualities which will make the crowning difficult. To help us in the process, we’ve selected Bear experts to be our judges including long-time Bear enthusiast and CEO of the Star Observer, Scott Abrahams.
Scott and his esteemed colleagues will be guided in the process by our outrageous host, the cheeky and irreverent Joyce Maynge and the clever mixings of DJ Man who will be on the decks.
It will be a fun night but the competition will be fierce because the winner will not only take the title of Mr Harbour City Bears, he’ll also go on to represent Sydney in the Mr Australasia Bear contest held in Melbourne in June.
Jason Lee, who was crowned Mr HCB in 2009, even went on to take the title in the Mr Great British Bear Bash.
This year Mr Harbour City Bears is sponsored by www.Hairyboyz.com and is produced with the support of the Exchange Hotel.
The venue has changed from the originally advertised one. The event will now be held upstairs in the Vegas Lounge, 34 Oxford St, Darlinghurst on Saturday, May 21 at 9pm.
Come join us and watch the fur fly!
