So long, farewell, auf wiedersehen, goodbye!

Is life ever simple? Or without drama?

Mine never seems to be — but that is probably because I am just a big drama queen and life without drama is no life at all!

The latest commotion was to do with Heaven. The last remaining original cast member of ‘Your Westy Divas’ has decided to resign.

Goddamn it Lola — how dare you leave me! I hope you rot at the Taxi Club.

Kidding!

Lola has decided to go and find herself… well her boy self and we all wish her all the very best. She has been an integral part of the cast since March 2006 and it is sad to see her go.

We will miss her amusing on-stage antics, last-minute costume creations and the adrenaline rushes waiting to see if she has followed through on her promises… She is a good kid and it will certainly not be the last we see of her.

Come and farewell Lola this coming Saturday, April 10 at the Northmead Bowling Club. Not only will it be Lola’s farewell, but also the final performance of ‘Drags can hear the bells’. Don’t miss out — it’s camper than tits on a bull! You even get to see me naked!

For other events happening in the west, let’s not forget the longest-running night of them all — Dolphins Dance with 15 years under their tool belt. A fun night out for the lemons of western Sydney and their delightful devotees.

Rumour has it that drag shows may be returning soon. Though paying peanuts, it’ll be interesting to see what rocks up.

Also for the girls of greater western Sydney, it’s time to put on the sports bra, button up your flannels and strap on your hiking boots, because Bush Lemons and Lemon Zest are heading out into the great outdoors.

Personally I can’t imagine anything more vile — a bunch of homosexuals trapped in the wilderness with no showers. But, if you want to get back in touch with nature and paddle in the creek then get in contact with these free-spirited girls.
