Sydney electro duo Garcon Garcon — aka frontman Nathan Mahon and studio boffin Nick Tsirimokos — step on to the international stage this month with the release of their first video clip, for the stunning single Stay in Touch, and a winning remix for queer alt-pop icon Patrick Wolf.

Together (Garcon Garcon Remix) by Patrick Wolf

“It was definitely a challenging task for us, mainly because we felt the song [Together] deserved something more substantial than just a thumping club mix. The overall feedback has been that Patrick loves the remix, which is great because we do too,” Tsirimokos said.

The remix, available as a free download (just click the arrow button on the right hand side of the Soundcloud file above), is currently doing the rounds of music blogs worldwide, as is the cheeky pirate-themed video for Stay in Touch.

“It was a new experience making the video, but on set we had such a fun atmosphere that it made it really easy,” Mahon said.

“I loved that it was playful and not too serious. I think that helped make it a really fun shoot and I think that comes across.”

Having recently shot the cover artwork with photographer Elvis Di Fazio, the pair plan to release their debut EP by late November.

“We have put so much time and effort into finishing our EP, so it will be really nice to be able to share it with others soon,” Tsirimokos said. “After that, who knows!”
