September still can’t get over it

Since her Australian tour at the end of last year, pop sensation September has been causing quite a stir.

After a recent performance at London’s G.A.Y, during a UK tour to promote her single Can’t Get Over, she was labelled a wannabe Lady Gaga because she had worn a bodysuit with blonde extensions, Lady Gaga’s signature outfit.
But the Swedish singer insists she came up with the look first.
If you would look back to years ago and you’ll see my special thing was my bodysuit. People think I took it from Lady Gaga after I performed at G.A.Y, she said.
Before she was even famous I had this fucking bodysuit and I didn’t dress like her, she dressed like me. Look up my clothing before and then you’ll see.
People are writing a lot of things and they’re also trying to find facts about my boyfriend and writing things I didn’t even know myself. It’s not me being controversial -” it’s just all now happening because my career is going well.
The singer is dating rock star Jimmy Kallqvist from Swedish band Joe’s Combo. Gossip suggests the band may follow September to Australia later this year.
As part of her promotional tour in 2008, the Swede was the guest of honour at the Melbourne Cup, where she did a duet with Carson Kressley from Queer Eye For The Straight Guy and How to Look Good Naked.
We were singing a little piece together. He was really nice but it sounded horrible. He likes to sing but it wasn’t that beautiful, but it didn’t matter because it was very funny, September said.
September’s self-titled album is due for re-release this June and it is hoped the collection of tracks will perform better on the charts on the back of Can’t Get Over, which is fast becoming one of the biggest dance tracks of the year.
Everything has gone in a very good way and slowly but very focused in one direction -” going up. And that’s how I feel it should be, September said.
I like to work hard in what I want to achieve  and I really want to come to Australia again.
Can’t Get Over has a very nice melody and is catchy. It’s been a huge hit in Spain and Sweden before it was known in the UK and Australia. For me, I love the new mix of it and it has a more club dance sound to it.
