Kylie sings with PS22

From Nick Cave to The Wiggles, Kylie has chosen some odd duet partners over the years, but her latest collaboration is perhaps her most unlikely.

The pop superstar dropped by Public School 22 in Staten Island yesterday to belt out a couple of songs with their famed children’s chorus.

She started off with an arresting cover of Can’t Get You Out Of My Head before performing Put Your Hands Up (If You Feel Love) live for the first time.

The school’s music teacher blogged that the kids were “blown away by Kylie’s incredible vocals” and described her as a wonderful spirit.

Since 2000 PS22 has become the most famous school chorus on the planet, racking up 25 million YouTube hits with covers of popular songs.

Kylie then went on to sing her new Christmas single Let It Snow at the turning on of the Christmas lights at New York City’s Rockefeller Center, as well as Santa Baby, which was the backing tune to her 2000 release Please Stay, from the album Light Years.
